Adele Carr Recruitment is partnering with a successful, SME in Liverpool, who are keen to appoint a proven, Divisional Financial Controlleron a full time, permanent basis.
This is a pivotal role and addition to the team, providing much needed support to the Group Finance Director and board.
The successful appointment will be responsible for managing the revenue stream for a high performing division. You have an important part to play ensuring all financial reports and deadlines are met, whilst working with a number of key stakeholders.
As the go to person, you will take ownership of running the team and ensuring budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, year end, cash flow and VAT is recorded accurately.
You will be a self-motivated, hardworking individual, who is seeking to work for a company who will value your work and input. The personable, accessible FD, will be there to support your development and progression.
The ideal applicant will have hands on experience, working in a fast paced, environment, preferably in construction, whilst possessing leadership qualities and the confidence to manage the finances.
You will be a fully qualified accountant, CIMA/ACCA/ACA who enjoys a level of autonomy and responsibility. A commercial individual who can see the big picture and can come up with new ideas to reduce costs, increase profit and improve processes and controls.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for:
- Supporting the board and FD with financial reporting, producing management accounts, P&L
- Heading up the accounts function and ensuring all processes and procedures are robust and fit for purpose
- Providing support, direction and training for the team
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns
- Treasury, bank reconciliations, cash flow forecast
- Producing annual budgets, forecasting and re--forecast
- Manage / oversee purchase and sales ledger transactions
- Assist with year-end accounts, liaise with auditors
- Support process improvements, projects, adding value
The ideal applicant, will be:
- Seeking to work in Liverpool on a permanent basis
- Familiar to working in an SME environment and taking on responsibility
- Knowledge of the Construction sector, CIS
- A proven, professional accountant who is self-motivated and hands-on
- Capable of working well under pressure, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
- Possess strong communication, analytic and organisational skills
- Ability to work with individuals across the business and liaise with external customers, suppliers, banks
- Good knowledge of MS Excel
