Financial Controller

Robert Half have been exclusively engaged to recruit for a newly created role based in Godalming. This role will be a supporting position to the Finance Director and will focus on project accounting for the business.

The role:

• Responsible for any necessary financial reporting
• Provide financial oversight, with direct access to their financial systems.
• Providing oversight of the outsourced accounting provider and answering any of their queries to enable the preparation of the management, statutory accounts, VAT returns etc.
• Orchestrate the financial audit and tax reporting
• Monitor financial performance against the budget / business case / financial model.
• Provide operational support such as performance analytics on the assets as required.
• Maintain good relationships with the investors and act as a point of contact on financial matters relating to performance.
• Act as a business partner to the operational directors, monitoring ongoing developments against budget.
• Ensure financial compliance with Project documents.

This role will also assist with Cash planning and reporting on all assets, and be very hands on with suppliers.

What's on offer:

This role can be hire in one of two ways - Full time on a salary of £55-65,000 per annum or on a part time basis (3 days a week). For the part time option, the client would like to hire someone with substantial post qualified experience.
