SalaryJSS Finance are delighted to be partnering our client; a successful large business based near Brentwood/Romford, Essex on the recruitment of this Financial Controller role. This is a challenging and interesting management role; managing four staff, month end accounting, P&L analysis and management reporting with a remit of assisting in change and improvements to processes, systems and controls. This Financial Controller role reports into the Head of Finance who will provide guidance and mentoring.
The Role:
This Financial Controller role based near Brentwood/Romford, Essex will have the opportunity to management a team and to assist in driving positive change and improvements across finance. Responsibilities will include:
- Managing month end managements accounting
- Managing a team of four staff
- Implementing best practise month end closure process & accurate reconciliation of control accounts.
- Implementing regular balance sheet reviews and sign off’s
- Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts and Group Board reports
- Managing, developing and improving management reporting explaining business performance
- Assist in managing cash flow and cash flow forecasting
- Identify and drive the simplification of operational procedures and processes
- Support and assist with large scale strategic projects and initiatives
- Present reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and Finance Director
- Support the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts, as required
- Driving a continuous improvement mindset across finance
Profile:
We are ideally looking for a fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Finance Manager or Financial Controller with several years demonstrable experience of managing month end, analysis, management reporting and staff management in a large business or someone who has trained in audit looking for a management role in industry.
On Offer:
A salary of circa £65,000 - £70,000 plus bonus and benefits dependent on relevant skills, qualifications and experience plus hybrid working in the office 2 days per week.
