Commercial Financial Controller - Andover - Hampshire

£55,000-£65,000 + Bonus (salary negotiable) + Profit share + Hybrid working

Vardey Recruitment is delighted to be working in an exclusive partnership with an entrepreneurial fast paced supply and manufacturing SME business in the Andover, Hampshire region. This newly created Financial Controller job will be responsible for providing the business with the confidence that all financial and operating reporting supports proactive decision making. The commercial Financial Controller job is a fantastic role to include reporting, kpi analysis, cashflow forecasting and driving forward business critical project work, acting as the Financial Director’s no.2
Financial Controller Job highlights:

• To control & manage budgeting and forecasting process
• KPI analysis driving business activity
• To accurately capture on a timely basis key business performance indicators
• Highlighting trends, concerns, and plans to mitigate or exploit risks
• Building proactive relationships with key manager in the business to understand their activities to capture true KPI’s
• Cashflow forecasting
• Business projects
• Undertake deep dives into business activities
• Investigate and present findings and recommendations
• Attending Board meetings
• Supporting Finance Manager to close monthly management accounts
• To ensure the completeness, accuracy and timely reporting covering the profit & loss, balance sheet and cashflow
• To enhance the use of company’s reporting software

The Financial Controller job may interest:

• Ideally a finance controller, finance manager, a leader with a strong commercial flair
• A fully qualified accountant, Financial Controller or maybe finance manager or proven relevant experience in financial reporting and commercial awareness
• ACA, ACCA,CIMA or equivalent
• A finance business partner able to lead people
• An individual able to "make it happen"
• Able to support management in decision making
• Great attention to detail
• Flexible, able to adapt to a changing environment
• Desire to keep improving - offering solutions/ideas and deliver change
• Tenacity and team work
• Advanced Excel user
• Enjoys analysis and reporting
• SME financial control experience is preferred
