The Financial Controller Role:
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Finance, you will oversee the business's day-to-day financial operations for all UK legal entities, ensuring all accounting records are appropriately kept and that every reported result complies with accounting standards and legislation.
As Manager of Accounting, you will manage, support, coach and develop the team of Accountants. You will need to be able to flex between execution and strategy as the business demands. You will also need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively with finance and non-finance based colleagues at every level of the business.
Above all, you must be able to work independently and manage your time to meet a variety of monthly and quarterly deadlines.
Culturally you’ll be comfortable in, and perhaps come from, a complex, fast growing technology or gaming business.
Your Day to Day in this role includes:
+ Maintenance of financial ledgers, journals, ledger balances, reviewing month end balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts
+ Managing the production of monthly management consolidated P&L balance sheets and cashflow statements
+ Delivering accurate statutory and corporate reports working closely with the Senior Accountant and VP of Finance for EMEA
+ Working collaboratively with Peers, colleagues and team members on full cycle accounting closing month end, quarter end, finance operations and payroll.
+ Improving the audit cycle and working with Auditors
+ Supporting the implementation and development of new systems and procedures that improve department efficiency
You'll be ideal for this role if you have:
+ B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience
+ ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience
+ Significant experience with the full cycle accounting - closing the month, quarter, year, speaking to auditors
+ Are an Excel spreadsheet automation and build whizz
+ Experience with Cloud-based accounting packages
+ Experience with ERP Systems (NetSuite, an advantage)
+ Ability to be highly organised and productive
+ Demonstrated acute attention to detail
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
