Financial Controller - Talent Management Company

A leading Talent Management Company is seeking an experienced and results-driven Financial Controller to lead its finance team. The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent leadership skills, and experience in the Talent Management or entertainment industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning and Analysis:

   • Develop and lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
   • Provide analysis of financial performance and present insights to senior management.
   • Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with business objectives.

2. Financial Reporting:

   • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports for management.
   • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
   • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.

3. Cash Flow Management:

   • Manage cash flow and liquidity, providing recommendations for improvement.
   • Monitor working capital and optimize cash management strategies.

4. Cost Management:

   • Monitor and control expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
   • Provide cost analysis and support for various projects and Talent Management initiatives.

5. Revenue Recognition:

   • Oversee revenue recognition processes, collaborating with sales and business development teams.
   • Ensure accurate reporting of revenue related to talent contracts and agreements.

6. Team Management:

   • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
   • Oversee professional development and training initiatives within the finance department.

7. Stakeholder Engagement:

   • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
   • Act as a key point of contact for financial inquiries and provide financial insights to support business decisions.

8. Audit and Compliance:

   • Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
   • Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and implement necessary adjustments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, preferably in Talent Management or the entertainment industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial management principles and accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
