The Opportunity:
For this Financial Controller position, you will play a pivotal role in assisting the Managing Director and Sales Director in evaluating the business s performance / strategy. The offices are beautiful and no issues with traffic.
Also you will manage a Financial Accountant and Credit Controller and evaluate both their current financial performance and future growth strategies.
Some of the key responsibilities for this successful person would be but no limited to:
- Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take full responsibility for all financial aspects of the business through an exciting period of growth.
- You will be responsible for producing weekly and monthly management packs, detailing Key Performance Indicators and presenting them to the board for review.
- Producing and monitoring quarterly and annual P&L budgets, cashflow forecasts and other financial metrics with assistance from the current financial accounting team.
- Implementing and maintaining standard costing records and analysing any resulting variances.
- Working closely with operational staff to ensure accuracy of accounting records, develop controls where necessary and identify and irradicate inefficiencies in the P&L.
The Candidate:
The successful Financial Controller will be/have:
- A Part Qualified, Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant - (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent),
- You will be a talented and driven Financial Controller looking to join a dynamic management team and oversee the finance function.
- Your attention to detail, proactive commercial approach and excellent communication skills will contribute to our continuing success.
- Ideally, we are looking for an energetic, driven, data orientated, commercial financial manager.
- You have proven, strong experience in preparing management accounts, and strong knowledge of financial principles, practices and regulations.
- You are highly motivated and able to work independently, with a desire to oversee all aspects of financial management for a growing business.
- You ll have excellent analytical skills, with attention to detail and will have strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Some experience with Power BI would be an advantage, but definitely not essential.
- Being commercially minded and able to communicate effectively across all business functions would be icing on the cake.
