Financial Cost Analyst

Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Inventory Cost Analyst to join their Accounting & Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysing and reporting on inventory costs, providing insights that will support decision-making process.

Description

• Analyse and prepare reports on inventory costs and trends.
• Work closely with procurement and operations to understand cost drivers.
• Support the month-end closing process by preparing journal entries related to inventory.
• Participate in physical inventory counts and reconciliations.
• Assist in developing and implementing inventory control procedures.
• Participate in budget preparation and variance analysis.
• Provide recommendations to management based on cost analysis findings.
• Support audit processes by providing necessary inventory cost data.

Profile

A successful Inventory Cost Analyst should have:

• An educational background in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with inventory cost analysis in the Industrial / Manufacturing sector. (Beneficial)
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• An ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• AAT Qualified / Studier

• An estimated salary range of ££26000 - £30,000 Starting
