Finance Manager
Woldon Architects, Part Time Position
Woldon Architects is seeking a talented Finance Managerto join its growing practice. The role is integral to the operations and development of the business. Key areas involve the running of accounting systems, bookkeeping and working directly to support the Directors within the financial management of the company. This role requires one day a week and offers flexible opportunities for the working day. We currently work on a hybrid model, however we request that the one day is within the London office. This role will deliver valuable support for the Directors to achieve business goals and provide financial support for the business.

Duties & Responsibilities
Finance Coordination
- Undertake full accurate bookkeeping
- Raising and issuing monthly invoices to clients, after monthly liaison with Directors
- Managing monthly invoices, disbursements, cashflow, P+L and balance sheet within Xero
- Management of internal cashflow forecast
- Reconciling bills in Xero and Dext platforms
- Making direct payments from banking platform
- Managing direct debits & subscriptions
- Credit control, including chasing aged debtors
- Logging project costs against upcoming invoices to disburse
- Administration of payroll and liaison with payroll bureau
- Managing monthly employee expenses
- Liaising with practice accountants
Essential Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong numeracy skills
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects at once
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly excel and other office productivity tools, with aptitude to learn new software and systems
- Ability to keep company confidences
- Great attention to detail
- Highly organised and methodical approach to record keeping
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Proactive approach to duties & responsibilities
- Great attitude to problem solving
- Professional and diligent
- Good working knowledge of accounting software Xero
- Experience in Dext (Receipt Bank) for managing expenses is preferred
- Experience liaising with third party payroll companies
- Detailed experience of wage journaling
- An interest in Architecture, Interiors and Estates is preferable
- Minimum of 2 years within a similar role
