Financial Planning Analyst
Salary: £45-50,000
Location: Ealing – Hybrid Working
Contract: 12-month fixed term contract, 35 hours per week

Role Overview
We are looking for a Financial Planning Analystto join our fantastic Finance team. In this varied and fast-paced role, you will be responsible for the production of the Long-Term Financial Forecast (LTFF), Board scenario planning and the FFR. The LTFF is used by Board to support in strategic decision making, submitted to the Regulator for Social Housing together with the FFR, and FITCH to assess viability and governance.
Key responsibilities:
- Produce the LTFF in a timely and efficient manner
o In accordance with financial standards and group policies
o Analysing and reviewing key annual movements and reconcile to other internal and external reports published across the group
o Prepare the FFR for submission within deadline
- Prepare additional financial models based on the approved LTFF
o Model key risk scenarios required to support the LTFF for presentation to Finance Committee and the Board to approve prior to distribution to lenders
o Responsible for building the Board stressed scenario models
o Ad hoc modelling requested to support strategic decisions
- Own the Brixx process, including servicing requests for information from the system
- Keep up-to-date with changes to accounting SORP, impact of changes to the environment which affect the sector (e.g. potential changes to social rent regime) and understanding how those changes are captured and managed in Brixx
- Engage with managers and heads of department of teams who provide key inputs and assumptions in the model to ensure robust forecasts and realistic assumptions, challenging data received when appropriate
- Maintaining up-to-date process documentation and procedures
- Analyse and approve scheme appraisals in Pamwin, ensuring that they match development written reports and that assumptions are appropriate and that set hurdles are achieved
More about you:
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English (Grades A*- C)
- Fully qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or any other recognized relevant financial qualification
- Experience in producing financial models
- Excellent Excel skills
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles
- Good understanding of FRS 102
- Ability to work under pressure (on your own and as part of a team)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial information to people who may not be from a financial background
- Good understanding of the Social Housing sector(Desirable)
