About the Role
Our finance function operates at the heart of ASOS. Say goodbye to preconceptions of bean-counters and hello to a multi-functional, business facing department. Our finance team controls the cash within the business and also provides support to the business to help it make decisions to lead us to being a global online fashion destination.
As a Senior Finance Analyst within the FP&A team, the role will focus on business partnering with PX, talent and stakeholders throughout the business to effectively plan, track and manage operating costs. You will learn the skills required to further progress your career.
What you'll be doing
- Working with PX and Talent teams to maintain a live view of our people costs throughout the organisation, capturing decisions of the opex-capex committee and other processes to provide an accurate view of our payroll costs.
- Work with and business partner stakeholders across multiple business areas to understand their functions and the operating costs associated with them, ensuring we have an accurate forecast and that costs are reported correctly through our monthly processes.
- Work with the Finance Manager to continue our development of zero-based-budgeting to drive financial stewardship throughout the business.
- Coach and support junior members of staff including our Finance Analysts and apprentices
- Develop new reporting and conduct analysis that provides high-quality insights, driving actionable outcomes.
- Support key strategic initiatives with costings and business case inputs.
Qualifications
We'd love to meet someone with
- An accounting qualification (preferably CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
- Business partnering experience
- A proven ability to plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines.
- A strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Advanced skills in Excel.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A high standard of accuracy with financial and statistical data.
- An ability to organise own work and to take initiative.
- An ability to organise own work and take initiative by being proactive.
- An ability to determine insightful observations from detail for management attention.
- Good communication/ interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Flexible and open to change.
