One of the biggest names in the UK charity sector is currently seeking a Head of FP&A to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis. Reporting into an experienced Director of Finance, you will be responsible for running the entire FP&A function for the charity’s fastest growing, future critical directorates. Leading a team of five, you will drive the delivery of targets and high-quality financial information to facilitate sound decision making.
The key duties of this Head of FP&A role are as follows:
- Business partner with the directorate’s key stakeholders, including members of the Executive Team for all things financial strategy, being the sounding board for any financial advice to inform decision making.
- Ensure the team’s timely delivery of the monthly management accounts.
- Drive a culture of process improvement, upskilling the team to ensure they are continuously effecting positive change within their respective areas.
- Improve the flow and communication of data between the finance team and the wider directorate, ensuring nothing falls through the gaps.
- Coordinate the annual budget and 3-year financial forecasts for your area.
- Conduct high-level financial analysis and be the critical friend to ensure absolute budget efficiency.
This is an exceptional chance for an experienced FP&A or business partnering professional who is excited at the prospect of working at the heart of a charity with a brilliant cause, whilst looking for opportunities to maximise existing processes to ensure the smooth delivery of a business-critical service. Please note that this role will officially be based out of the charity’s head office in Central London, but opportunities to work from home are on offer for three days per week.
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrable experience in an FP&A or FBP focused role at a similar level.
- Excellent team management skills, including upskilling and driving a culture of accountability.
- A fully accountancy qualification (CCAB or equivalent).
- Fantastic communication skills and the ability to build credibility with Executive level stakeholders.
- A love for challenging the status quo and manipulating data to understand trends and underlying themes.
