Financial Reporting Accountant

This is an excellent opportunity for a Financial Reporting Accountant to work in Financial Reporting and consolidation as part of a small team. You'll be based in north Bristol but work on a hybrid model.

A salary of between £45,000 and £55,000 is on offer depending on experience and qualification.

Description

The Financial Reporting Accountant will be responsible for the following;

• Prepare financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards.
• Analyse financial data and report on financial performance.
• Develop and implement Financial Reporting systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance department to streamline financial processes.
• Conduct periodic financial analysis to identify and resolve issues, gaps or variances.
• Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.
• Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.
• Stay updated with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.

Profile

A successful Financial Reporting Accountant should:

• Have an accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
• Experience in financial accounting/statutory accounting/consolidation
• A strong understanding of accounting and Financial Reporting principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data.
• Attention to detail and the ability to spot numerical errors.
• The capability to work well in a team setting and to collaborate effectively with other departments.
