If so, we have an opportunity to join our Finance Department as a Financial Reporting Manager working 3 days per week on a 12 month fixed term contract.
We have a hybrid working model, where you can work 60% from home, with the rest of your time being flexibly based at our brand new, sustainable head office in Leeds city centre, just 5 minutes' walk from the train station.

About the role
You will have responsibility for production of the Society's annual and interim financial statements and monthly management accounts, together with our corporation tax and VAT.
You will also:
- Share ownership of financial statements for inclusion in Annual Report & Accounts and Interim Financial Report
- Share ownership of monthly internal financial statements to support Board and senior management reporting, including investigation and explanation of variances to forecasts
- Work with outsource providers to ensure accurate and timely corporation tax and VAT payments and submission of tax returns
- Main point of contact for external auditors, providing data and information as requested and resolve issues as they arise, escalating matters as appropriate
- Support the Financial Reporting Lead in provision of reports and training to Audit Committee and other committees and working groups
What will I bring to the role?
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Experience of producing or auditing financial statements or management accounts
- Experience of corporation tax and VAT calculations
- Highly numerate with good analytical and Microsoft Excel skills
- Able to build work relationships internally and externally and work constructively with others to reach solutions on complex issues
- Willing to embrace and implement change
- Experience of IFRS 9 effective interest rate and IFRS 16 accounting is desirable but not essential.
