Trinity House Group are working exclusively with a large private equity backed services business based in Leicester who are looking for a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) to join them as a Financial Reporting Manager. The role will be office based 2 days a week and will offer a great level of exposure and progression.
This key position within the finance function, reporting directly to the Head of Finance, is accountable for maintaining and developing the financial control, reporting and treasury within the Group - consistently striving for improvements in process efficiency and documentation.
A key purpose of this role is to establish a culture of excellence, continuous improvement and accurate and timely processing of financial statements and cash transactions.
The Role:
Manage and develop a team of 4 analysts, working alongside the Business Partners and Transactional finance teams - leading by example and ensuring the continued development of direct reports through the creation of PDR’s and regular monitoring against these.
Manage and deliver the statutory accounts for each group company (including consolidated accounts).
Oversee, maintain and develop the compliance and controls environment including leading the monthly balance sheet reconciliations process including monthly checklist.
Manage the fixed asset accounting and controls.
Act as key contact for the PE house, providing regular and adhoc reporting.
Deliver timely and accurate Financial Reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including Board Reporting.
Consolidation of accounts on a monthly basis.
Manage any FRS developments, ensuring impact analysis is completed and required changes implemented in timely and controlled manner.
Being the key contact for auditors and tax consultants.
Delivery of all aspects of VAT accounting and reporting to HMRC.
Requirements:
Qualified accountant (preferably ACA/ACCA)
Experience of cashflow forecasting
People management and development experience as well as strong problem-solving ability.
Transactional finance experience desirable.
Strong Excel skills.
Strong communicator with the ability to effectively work across finance and non-finance functions.
