Fire Safety Officer

- Job Type: Full-time, temporary contact initially for 3-months with potential for extension
- Hourly Rate: £19.00-£19.81, PAYE
Reed Secure are working in collaboration with a local council, they have a fantastic opportunity for a Fire Safety Officer to Join the Facilities Management Team and contribute to the safety and well-being of the community. They are looking for a Fire Safety Officer to oversee Fire Safety management strategies and ensure compliance across various council buildings, including markets, leisure centres, and residential accommodations.
Day to Day of the role:
- Develop and implement Fire Safety management strategies for all council buildings.
- Proactively manage and oversee Fire Safety measures to ensure a safe environment.
- Conduct and update Fire Risk Assessments for all council properties.
- Deliver Fire Safety training to Designated Responsible Persons.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant Fire Safety legislation, regulations, and Codes of Practice.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification in Fire Safety and risk management, e.g., NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety & Risk Management or equivalent.
- An approved qualification from the Institute of Fire Engineers in Advanced Fire Risk Assessment.
- Experience in maintaining quality information systems and investigating incidents, including fires.
- Expertise in advising on Fire Safety precautions and fire risk control measures.
