Job Description
Fixed Income E-Trading Business Analyst accountabilities:
- The Product team sits between the business and IT development teams. The candidate will have extensive experience with Agile and previously worked on IT projects in a front office environment with strong ability to manage multiple front office stakeholders' requirements.
- The Product Analyst will be responsible for the entire business analysis of any assigned initiatives for Fixed Income.
- The Fixed Income Product Analyst will work on initiatives in the Fixed Income product backlog as prioritized by the Fixed Income Product Owner
- The Product Analyst is member of the Fixed Income Product team, within Business platform department which exists to serve the technology requirements of the capital market business.
- The Fixed Income Product Analyst is responsible to track business requirements into the product backlog and deliver on key initiatives defined in the Product Owner's roadmap.
- Primary responsibility includes managing backlog items related to the bank's Fixed Income client data and analytics system "MOSAIC' (MSX) and accountability for the delivery of the "Phase 2: "bond crossing" initiative.
- The individual will stay abreast of front office Fixed Income technology initiatives, develop a strong understanding of the bank's Fixed Income trading workflow, and diligently document user stories, enhancements, and bug fixes into the product backlog.
- The Product Analyst will regularly discuss with Product Owner to prioritize enhancements requests.
- The Product Analyst will chair the Analytics & Data weekly meetings with Mosaic team, report analysis of test cases and evaluate impact of changes. The individual will be able to clearly communicate insights and findings to Product Owner, head of trading and Mosaic team on weekly basis.
- The Product Analyst will lead daily scrum calls on MSX initiative and ensure backlog JIRA items are tracked, prioritized, and delivered in sprint cycles.
- The Product Analyst will be capable to articulate, present and demo technology solutions to IT stakeholders and Front Office users.
- The Product Analyst will develop a 'partnership' relationship with the front office stakeholders and understand their e-Trading concerns and requirements.
- The Product Analyst may be tasked to take on additional projects / initiatives as directed by the Product Owner.
- The Product Analyst will be involved in working on current Fixed Income systems, such as Bloomberg ETOMS, ION, and working with SQL, and JIRA/ Confluence
The Successful Applicant
Fixed Income E-Trading Business Analyst experience:
- Business knowledge of Credit and Rates.
- Business Analysis within an e-Trading/Front Office environment
- Experience working with Fixed Income electronic trading platforms, knowledge of Bloomberg ETOMS, or ION Markets is a plus but not essential.
- Strong experience working at a Bank, electronic trading venue, or exchange
- Strong analytical skills - knowledgeable in SQL, Excel, Confluence/ JIRA, Visio within Financial Services.
- Excellent communication skills
