Teamwork Partnership s currently recruiting for a production Team Leader for one of their clients in Ely area for a permanent basics.
Job Purpose
To oversee and manage the performance of a specified function/small team within the greenhouse:
- 1. Harvest
- 2. Selection and pruning
- 3. De-leafing
- 4. Twisting & Lowering
- 5. Logistics
- 6. Hygiene actions
- 7. Glasshouse cleaning per season cycle
- 8. Re-planting crops for new season
Main duties:
- 1. Supervise workers to complete their given task on a daily and weekly basis.
- 2. Lead and motivate the team to deliver productivity targets, such as speed, through praise and recognition and ensure continuous communication with block manager.
- 3. Assist in setting the productivity targets and make suggestions where appropriate.
- 4. Continually monitor workers technique for improvement to maximise productivity. Constructively provide feedback to operatives and demonstrate required techniques if necessary.
- 5. Lead the team by example, maintaining discipline and a good work ethic to deliver excellent outcomes
- 6. Monitor individual workers performance, including timekeeping reporting to the operations and block managers.
- 7. Perform visual quality checks of crop work and harvested produce daily, and ensure operatives understand importance of quality of work.
- 8. Ensure workers look after company property such as equipment and uniform.
- 9. Ensure health and safety is always adhered to as specified below.
The successful candidate need to make sure the following:
- · Ensure that all work carried out is completed with the full awareness of you and your colleagues Health and Safety.
- · Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with Health & Safety regulations as given in company Risk Assessments/company standards.
- · Ensure that the product meet safety, legal and quality requirements.
- · Oversee safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
- · Following relevant emergency response procedures during emergency situations and ensure all operatives are aware of correct procedures.
The right candidate will meet the criteria below:
- Previous FMCG experience
- Leadership training and/or 1+ years experience as a Team Leader
- Strong Communication Skills
- Good practical MS Office skills/experience
- Ability to motivate and influence teams
Hours of work 7am till 4pm ( 5 days a week )
Please not the shift is working 5 out of 7 days. Weekend rotation included.
Up to £30k per annum- Depending on experience
Expected start date: 23/02/2024
