You will be responsible for the production of editorial video, and commercial video and stills shoots, primarily working across our women’s, Food and Homes brands – Cosmopolitan, Red, Prima, Good Housekeeping, House Beautiful and Country Living.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position is responsible for the production of editorial video, and commercial video and stills shoots, primarily working across our women’s, Food and Homes brands – Cosmopolitan, Red, Prima, Good Housekeeping, House Beautiful and Country Living.
As a member of the Production team you will work closely with both commercial and editorial creative teams to see productions through from pitch and ideation to final delivery. The right candidate will be organised, efficient and a strong communicator, being the central point of contact between many teams, including editors, art directors, video directors, sales teams and clients. You must be able to multi-task, prioritise and adapt ways of working to different project needs. It is also important for the candidate to have a creative eye and a keen understanding of our brands’ visual identities and tone of voice. Please note this is a hybrid role which would require someone to be available 5 days week; you would be required to work 3 days a week in the office, and attend shoots on whichever day they may fall.

Key Duties:

  • Accurate prediction and management of budgets and project timelines
  • Negotiation of rates and bookings with external photographers, video crew, studios, locations, caterers, etc.
  • Negotiation of fees and contracts with talent and models
  • Management of all shoot production admin including call sheets, kit hire, risk assessments, insurance, travel bookings, etc.
  • Management of post-production admin such as swift processing of invoices, expenses and budget sheets
  • Briefing of internal and external stakeholders on project details including creative brief, production budgets and allocation per department, deadlines for moodboards, treatments, edits, etc.
  • Communication of feedback and deadlines between clients, internal creative departments, and external freelancers
  • Understanding and maintaining the individual visual identity and tone of voice of our brands, when feeding into client pitches and when briefing external/freelance creatives on projects
  • Quality control of team output; such as feeding back on video edits before sending on to clients or brand editors
  • Work on projects across other Hearst brands, as and when workload requires

ABOUT YOU

  • Relevant and demonstrable industry experience producing in video and stills shoots
  • Relevant and demonstrable industry experience working with editorial teams and commercial clients
  • Organised and methodical approach to work, with a meticulous eye for detail
  • Good knowledge of different social platforms, and ability to advise on both what content performs well and technical spec requirements for each platform
  • An active interest in the relevant magazine brands, and ability to identify with the interests of the audiences
  • Experience using project management tools such as Smartsheet, JIRA, Trello, Monday.com, etc.
  • Team player and collaborative worker
  • Clear, positive and pro-active communicator
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise own workload according to deadlines
