Post Details – The State Hospital, provides maximum secure psychiatric care for patients from Scotland and Northern Ireland. Our strategy is to ensure equitable provision of high quality, clinically effective services to meet the mental health and social care needs of all patients.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Facilities Department for a Food Production Supervisor. The post holder will assist the Catering Manager to maintain a high standard and to ensure continuity of service within agreed budgets, quality, statutory, safety and environmental standards.
You will have direct line management responsibility for Catering staff, and supervise the production, preparation, cooking and portioning of meals using traditional production techniques to a high standard for patients, hospital staff, official visitors and function/hospitality catering.
A flexible approach to work is necessary as variations to the standard working week may be required in order to meet the needs of the service.
Experience – You will have completed a City & Guilds of London Institute 706/1 & 706/2 and have supervisory experience in a busy kitchen environment.
