Job Title: Football Development Officer (Women’s & Girls)
Reporting to: Manager for Sport
Key Relationships: Foundation Director, Foundation Senior Manager, Foundation Managers. Club Staff, FC Women and all other vital connections of the club with inductions in week 1 of employment
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week including evening and weekend work. Whilst normal office hours generally apply, you will also be expected to be flexible in working additional hours when needed for occasional one off events, when time off in lieu hours may be accrued.
Salary Band: Starting from £22,360.00 per annum, reviewed each year, with the potential for extra hours payable on sessional rates Contract Term: 12 months with an annual review and renewal.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose: To ensure the quality of delivery and governance of the community activities within the local borough and support CPD, coaching and development of Foundation Programmes and FC Women. This will include support mechanisms, as needed, for FC Women, Foundation Managers, Officers, Assistant Officers, Apprentices, Casual Staff and Volunteers.
Job Context: The post holder will continue to develop related activities within the area undertaking the Strategic development objectives of the club. The post holder will ensure the continued improvement in standards of service delivery through participation via female participation, coach education and mentoring, community club development. Responsibilities and specific duties:
Manage and support all staff (including your own individual responsibilities) to ensure the financial stability of the club.
Develop programmes to support and grow female provision within the local community, as well as providing pathways to the FC Women 1st Team
To take a lead in the organisation, planning, promotion and delivery of community foundation programmes and FC Women.
Work closely with FC Women to support their and our collective developments plans.
To be in attendance at all FC Women home fixtures (Sunday afternoons)
Understand what the current female landscape looks like across the local Borough to help identify potential opportunities
To work with the Media & Communications Officer to promote and showcase delivery.
To grow FC Women’s junior section
Oversee the delivery of high-quality coaching throughout all age groups of the female Club and develop an individual CPD plan for each coach at FC Women, to reach higher standards, to also develop and deliver a coaching and playing philosophy throughout the club
To Chair monthly meetings and progress report with FC Women Committee
Support Foundation Assistant Officers, Foundation Apprentices working within your department.
To carry out and manage administrative tasks as necessary e.g. staff records, registers, quality assurance, and that all staff diaries are accurate and kept up-to-date.
Attend related networks, meetings and events, supporting partnership and sharing good practice.
Ensure that female football is inclusive, diverse and reflective of local communities
To ensure health and safety guidelines are enforced for a CF employees working within the Female Football delivery.
Assist Foundation Managers in dealing with customer suggestions and complaints in a prompt and courteous manner.
