Forrest School Leader
The Childcare Hub are looking for someone to join our outdoor Forest school team. The role will be 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. Your role will mainly be outdoors for the majority of the day. You will establish routines and boundaries to ensure the wellbeing and safety of the children. You will be expected to liaise with the indoor team about the children's learning, development and curiosities.
_Candidate must hold a full UK driving license as you will take the children on a trip one week out of the 6 week plan, you will also need to collect from from our 2 other nursery sites. Must be confident to drive the nursery mini bus._
The role of a Forest School Leader:
Plan and develop the nursery's existing outdoor learning provision
Ignite a love of the outdoors in children
-To lead and implement good practice across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), support and mentor all team members and model the skills and behaviours that safeguard and promote good outcomes for children
Engage children with learning objectives through outdoor learning sessions
Have fun
Undertake risk assessments
To provide high standards of childcare and education including monitoring and reviewing the provision at all times
Be prepared to work in all weathers and be hands on!
You should hold a Level 3 Forest School qualification and a relevant up to date Outdoor First Aid qualification.
