Form of workElevation Recruitment Group are working alongside a Sheffield based heavy engineering company to recruit a Forge Electrical Engineer.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Forge Electrical Engineer will provide Electrical Technical support to the Forge Maintenance Team and will be responsible for Modernisation and Refurbishments, producing Engineering drawings and layouts in order to capture changes to existing designs/layouts and components.
Other duties of the Forge Electrical Engineer include:
- Improve electrical designs within the existing forge facility
- Research and design new technology to help improve efficiencies and reliability
- Provide suppliers with detailed technical drawings for the manufacture of components
- Actively involved in the new forge facility installation and the transition from old to new
- Stay up to date with of modern engineering and maintenance techniques
- Take responsibility for the Co-ordination of fault Diagnosis and rectification work
- Work closely with the Reliability Engineer to ensure the Planning of maintenance work within the department
- Manage shift handovers and prioritise work accordingly
- Supervise all aspects of Electrical Maintenance work including monitoring schedules, Planned Maintenance, downtime, shutdown maintenance and installations
We would be keen to speak with Forge Electrical Engineers with the following:
- Electrical Engineering HNC Qualified
- Electrical Engineering/Maintenance Apprentice Trained
- Previous experience working in a Heavy Engineering/ Hot working or similar environment
- Continuous Improvement training/qualification
- Good Fault-Finding Skills
- Good understanding of preventative maintenance strategies
- Good Mechanical Engineering knowledge
