About the team
As a Full Stack Developer on the Lighthouse team, you’ll hold a critical position within REEF’s Build engine. You’ll sit in the Engineering team, as part of the Lighthouse product squad working closely with product managers and designers, reporting to an Engineering Manager.
What you’ll do
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with React, TypeScript and related technologies, coupled with a solid understanding of backend development using NestJS. We’re looking for someone eager to work closely with product managers and designers to contribute to the success of the product. This role offers the opportunity to work on an exciting product and collaborate with a team of passionate individuals.
- Develop and maintain frontend applications using React and TypeScript, ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Implement UI components and create interactive UIs that enhance user experience
- Utilize tools (such as Styled Components, Storybook, React Router, etc) for enhanced styling, seamless navigation experience, component-driven development and documentation, ensuring consistency and reusability across the application
- Collaborate with designers and UX/UI specialists to translate wireframes and design mockups into fully functional frontend components and web pages
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to best practices
- Stay updated on frontend development trends and emerging technologies, incorporating new tools and techniques to enhance the development process
Who you are
- 3+ years of proven experience in frontend development (preferably using React and TypeScript)
- Solid understanding of frontend technologies including Styled Components, Storybook, React Router, and React Query
- Experience working in an Agile development environment, with a focus on delivering iterative and incremental updates
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with backend development using NestJS and knowledge of AWS services is a plus
- Experience with additional frontend technologies such as Redux, GraphQL, or Next.js is a plus!
- Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and ability to contribute to design discussions
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and best practices for frontend development
