Our vacancy would ideally suit a teacher looking to build their leadership experience by ensuring that high standards are maintained and improved. The KS1 Phase Leader post will also include a school core subject leadership responsibility.

The KS1 phase leader will directly line manage a team of teachers, HLTA’s, and LSA’s supporting the learning and progress of the children in KS1, and we are looking for someone who can motivate children and colleagues to excel. Dedicated leadership time will be provided, with regular opportunities to work closely with experienced member of our Leadership Team.

Initially this is a fixed term role for a year whilst the school navigates transitioning from a 3 form entry to a 2 form entry school

You should be well organised and committed to planning and delivering lessons that bring learning to life for our children. The successful candidate will be expected to play a full part in the life of the school.

  • A strong proven practitioner, who is passionate about making learning experiences exciting memorable and fun
  • Able to demonstrate consistently good/outstanding teaching and effectively inspire others within a team
  • Have an excellent understanding of assessment for learning and actively use this to form planning and teaching in real time
  • Able to communicate effectively with staff, parents and colleagues and build positive working relationships
  • Committed to having high expectations of achievement, effort and behaviour for learning
  • A creative, enthusiastic, motivated individual
  • A good team player who can show initiative, take direction and co-operate effectively with others
