Ricoh are currently recruiting for a Functional Consultant - OM & SCM, based in Watford.


Application Support within REMEA IT supports and maintains all centrally hosted business applications. Our objective is to meet the SLAs agreed with the business.

The Functional Consultant provides 3rd level functional support, maintenance, and management of Ricoh applications. They support these applications to ensure the smooth operation of the end-to-end business processes, working closely with team members, local business process owners, and central business process owners.

The specific requirement for this role is to have an expert understanding of the Oracle Cloud and on-prem ERP system, to ensure IT support process provide stability of the physical order flow and the purchase of product from Ricoh’s global factories and 3rd Party Suppliers.

What you will be doing

  • Systems related to this function provide support for in excess of 3,000 users across multiple operating companies throughout EMEA, with transaction volume anticipated to over €1.5 billion in annual sales revenue and over 950 million in annual purchases
  • Key success will be consistent standards and process, ongoing benchmarking and cost/benefit realisation, therefore having a significant impact on a business’ smooth operations and ability to provide efficient service to present and potential customers.
  • No direct budget responsibility. The main dimension is the number, size and complexity of projects, and the budget allocated to each project.
  • As interface to other RFG functional units the focus will be on the sharing of best practice and the planning and deployment of industry leading IT solutions on the Order Fulfilment process model
  • Close working relationship with Ricoh’s partners both IT and business to ensure the IT systems underpinning the physical process have high availability, have robust and appropriate IT processes, provide timely and accurate data to the business to support the operation

You will ideally have

Knowledge:

Functional experience of Oracle Cloud and 10 years of Oracle e-Business order and purchase flows including multi-site and multi-country implementations, green field and upgrade implementation in manufacturing and distribution business channels, with the specific functional knowledge of -

  • Oracle Inventory
  • Oracle Order Management
  • Oracle Shipping Execution
  • Oracle Bills of Material
  • Oracle Work in Process
  • Oracle Procurement
  • Analytical mindset
  • Experience of a Pan-European Distribution business model
  • Oracle SQL and PL/SQL toolset
  • Fluent in English. A second European language (French, Spanish or German) is useful but not essential
