Are you passionate about empowering young learners and helping them develop essential Functional Skills for life beyond the classroom? Smart Education is currently seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to join our team, working with P16 students in a dynamic educational environment.
Hours: 10 hours per week
Schedule: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Responsibilities:
- Deliver Engaging Lessons: Design and deliver effective and engaging Functional Skills lessons tailored to the unique needs of P16 students.
- Individualized Support: Provide individualized support to students, focusing on key Functional Skills areas such as English, mathematics, and information technology.
- Assessment and Feedback: Conduct regular assessments to track student progress and provide constructive feedback, fostering a positive learning experience.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other educators and support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Teaching Qualifications: Hold relevant teaching qualifications with a focus on Functional Skills education.
- Experience: Previous experience working with post-16 students and a proven ability to deliver effective Functional Skills lessons. The successful candidate will have experience working with challenging behaviour.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and collaborate with colleagues.
- Passion for Education: A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.

Qualifications Required: Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent
Salary: £26.62 per hour
Hours: Part-time (10 hour per week)
