Job description

This is an exciting opportunity within the Commodities and Global Markets team who have operated in the global futures markets for more than 30 years. The team provides a full range of execution, clearing and financing solutions to corporate and institutional clients as well as providing continuous 24-hour coverage of all major markets globally, supporting and developing a broad range of business and Financial Management functions.

At Macquarie, we are working to create lasting value for our communities, our clients and our people. We are a global financial services group operating in 34 markets and with 54 years of unbroken profitability. You’ll be part of a supportive team where everyone - no matter what role - contributes ideas and drive outcomes.

What role will you play?

You will join the Regulatory and Financial Management team, within the Futures Chief Operating Office team, and will work with key stakeholders of the business regionally and globally to support the daily functions for Futures. Initially the focus of this role will be Regulatory reporting support but expect that the scope of the role will broaden in time to include aspects of the Financial Management roles within the team to provide all round coverage for the team.

You will be responsible for managing the daily oversight of Regulatory reporting for the Futures business – Markets in Financial Instruments Directive Transaction Reporting (MIFID TR), European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR), Regulation on Wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency (REMIT). You will be working with internal Operations teams to implement effective control framework to ensure completeness and accuracy of reporting, as well as day to day management of queries arising from reporting – assisting to resolve unreported trades and prevention of reoccurring issues with effective remediation of upstream static data. Part of your role will be to identify process improvements to improve static data accuracy of Futures data used for Regulatory reporting, and working with stakeholders to prioritise and implement changes and control design.

Another aspect to the role will include incident and breach reporting, analysis of incident and breached to identify root causes implementing necessary control improvements and tracking actions, liaising with internal Compliance and Risk Management teams.

What you offer

  • Good knowledge of Futures and Options.
  • Good knowledge of Markets in Financial Instruments Directive Transaction Reporting, European Market Infrastructure Regulation and Regulation on Wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency.
  • Engage with key business stakeholders globally, including Trading, Sales, Business Operations, Finance, Regulatory Capital, as well as external auditors.
  • Use your experience to train on data analytics platforms such as Alteryx and PowerBI
  • Be a dynamic thinker, bringing your knowledge and experience to a wide range of areas, from cost management, regulatory engagement and product development.

We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us, if you're excited about the role or working at Macquarie we encourage you to apply.

  • Paid volunteer leave and donation matching
  • Range of benefits to support your physical, psychological and Financial wellbeing
  • Employee Assistance Program
