Bank Loan Sales
As Goldman Sachs is growing its Structured Products distribution efforts, the team is actively looking for a candidate with 5-10 years experience for Bank Loan Sales, VP level. A role in the European Structured Products sales team revolves around building and maintaining long-term relationships with our bank clients, focusing on distribution of Real Estate, Infrastructure and Structured Credit financings
On a day-to-day basis we provide information, execution and solutions to our clients. The role, and team itself, is dynamic and by no means confined to a narrow mandate. We are an entrepreneurial team with a passion for thinking outside the box.
A Bank Loan salesperson will have broad coverage across products and will be in close touch with different divisions of the firm, namely the Global Markets and Investment Banking Division as well as the Asset Wealth Management division. Given the nature of the structured credit business, a role in the sales team involves intellectually curious individuals who enjoy deep analysis of complex financial products.
Our focuses are broad, both on the secondary and primary market as well as distribution and sourcing of opportunities with banks across jurisdictions. Sales interact on a daily basis with product experts across the firm and are the first point of contact of any bank investor looking for exposure in structured credit.
The role presents the opportunity to:
  • Work in our fast growing London hub
  • Work in a well-balanced and cohesive team and cover a wide range of clients across the continent
  • Directly manage clients and build strong relationships
  • Drive conversations with clients and execute transactions on a wide range of products
  • Work with many different arms of the firm in EMEA, Asia and Americas across the private and public sides of the business.
  • Take responsibility of trade execution & trade issue resolution
  • Navigate all parts of the firm efficiently - interact with other sales desks, research, strategists, traders, bankers, legal, compliance
  • Drive new account opening processes
Skills and Experiences:
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years experience in Banks coverage
  • High intellectual curiosity and entrepreneurial orientation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential
  • Creative thinking and strong focus on problem solving
  • Strong process orientation
  • Fluent in English and preferably French, although not a must. The more continental languages, the better.
