The Data Product Lead role is responsible for both creating value and driving efficiency through the capture and usage of Data within Real Time Payments. The successful candidate will lead a team enabling customer account management, the commercialisation team and the Product & Engineering domains as they deliver to solutions and service for domestic real time payments and cross border real time payments.
This role reports to the SVP of Product, Real Time Payments and is a member of the RTP Product Leadership Team.
Key accountabilities include:
- Ownership of the Data Strategy for Real Time Payments, aligned to business goals and objectives.
- Identify and prioritise data use cases that can drive value across RTP.
- Accountability for identifying product features and investments based on data strategy requirements and customer needs.
- Central point of contact in RTP for data related matters.
- Partner with the Executive Leadership team withing RTP to uplift capability supporting Data.
Key stakeholder management between RTP and the:
- D&S Technology Team and the D&S Insights Team to support data platform (technology), data management, data services and data governance.
- D&S Advisory team and the C&I teams to share product opportunities and customer insight.
- Open Banking team on Open Banking/ Data use cases.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, The Foundry and Strategy, and navigate a matrix organisation to support future forward product development.
- Work with external stakeholders (innovation centers, commercial companies, government and regulators) to promote and monetize the use of real time data building an ecosystem of partner.
- Support the development and deployment of products to customers including business case development, planning, and risk management.
- Deliver execution of long-term and short-term strategic data initiatives and processes.
- Drive innovative leadership to continue evolving our product suite and drive future success.
- Partner with the Communications teams on to provide clear and concise messaging for internal and external audiences on the value of Data.
- Liaise with the Finance team to manage all budgeting and forecasting relating to data strategy, including P&L ownership.
All About You/Key Requirements:
- Track record of successfully development and managing technology and data products.
- Deep experience in payments with knowledge of realtime payments desirable.
- Deep experience in data platform development management.
- Demonstrated ability to set a vision, strategy, and translation into product roadmap.
- Knowledge and/or experience working with partners and creating an ecosystem of companies using real time data.
- Strength in connecting people and ideas; ability to operate in a matrix environment and establish effective working relationships across the business and geographies with proven ability to manage requests and inputs from senior executive stakeholders.
- Experience managing within a scaled agile / continuous improvement environment; evidence of accelerating high performing teams.
- Experience managing a P&L.
- A strong communicator and influencer both internally and externally.
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical and organizational skills who is comfortable as a decision maker in complex and uncertain environments.
