The Role

As aGCP Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and optimising cloud solutions for clients. You will utilise your expertise in Google cloud technologies to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient cloud architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership to guide strategic customers to successful implementations on data projects, cloud migration ranging from architectural design to data engineering to model deployment.
• Develop data service architecture vision and roadmap and build Data Strategy in Google Cloud Platform.
• Work in close collaboration with the Product Owner and Business stakeholders to execute on our long-term roadmap and following agile processes.
• Define functional, technical, and physical architecture and own them.
• Define cloud architecture standards, best practices, and solution patterns for analytical use cases.
• Work closely with enterprise architecture community, align data Solution Architecture with enterprise vision.
• Work on POCs for new analytical use cases and integrating new technologies.
• Provide technical expertise in areas such as data management and cloud platforms.
• Assist Technical team with custom proof of concept content, estimating workload sizing, and custom architectures.

Your Profile

Key Skills/Knowledge/ Experience:

• Strong experience as a Solution Architect on Data & Analytics, working effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Exposure to and some experience of working with structured architecture approaches (e.g. TOGAF).
• A track record delivering successful Cloud transformation / migration projects using to Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience architecting enterprise-level solutions using GCP, across a wide range of Google Data Products and Integration services (Big Query, Dataflow, DataProc, Looker, Cloud Data Fusion, Data plex, Airflow, Redis, Datastore, Appengine and Pub/Sub).
• In depth knowledge on GCP Services and implementation experience on GCP Architecture patterns for various analytical use cases.
• Good Google cloud-based networking background (VPC, Subnet, VPN Tunnel, Networking, Private service connect etc.).
• Good understanding and hands on experience in Java and Python.
• Experience designing solutions using containerisation technologies: Docker or Kubernetes.
• DevOps background and experience (Jenkins, Terraform and CI/CD).
• Knowledge of API-centric architecture.
• Experience in defining modern data platforms in GCP.
• Deep understanding of data operations standards, Data Architecture, data integration, Data Governance & Data Security.
• Experience in architecting production level workloads, including end-to-end pipeline load performance testing and optimisation.

Good to have:

• Certified Google Professional Cloud Architect will be preferred.
