Address An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Burscough site and we are currently seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual who would enjoy working in a manufacturing environment, as a General Assistant in our Production Department.
Be responsible for the operation of machinery to ensure efficiencies are maximized and downtime is minimized
Achieve set productivity and performance targets ensuring consistent quality standards are met
To ensure maintenance and cleaning tasks are carried out correctly and in line with the planned maintenance schedule
Support and assist with improvement initiatives
Reporting to the Shift Manager and working in a small team to ensure maximum output and efficiency from your machines, you will be expected to be Health and Safety motivated with a proactive approach to learning.
The successful candidate must be prepared to work 12-hour shifts (4 on 4 off) on a 24/7 pattern. The salary for the position is £28,370.97 or £31,381.63 (depending on experience).
Key duties of a General Assistant:
Be accountable for own and others health and safety whilst at work, operating in line with SSOW (safe systems of work) and company procedures to enable a safe working environment (including challenging/reporting unsafe behaviours)

What we would like our candidate to have:
- Experience of working in a production/manufacturing environment (1 year preferred)
- Self-motivated with a can-do attitude
