General Ledger Accounting – Salary £30.000 to £ 35.000
This is a great job for someone who wants to get into the detail of how things work. You will get to learn how accounting for the GI business and financial processes work which will allow you to contribute to the closing of Aviva GI books and records and support the financial control framework.
You will need a natural curiosity, enjoy problem solving, take accountability for your own workload and provide your leader with clear updates on progress.
A bit about the job:
Working as part of the Balance Sheet Reconciliations team you will be allocated several complex balance sheet reconciliations to perform. These will need to be complete by agreed deadlines and within the financial control framework.
You will need to quickly build up a good understanding of business and finance processes and systems.
Often analysing high volumes of data, attention to detail is required together with the ability to stand back, see the bigger picture, and understand key issues. Within the team you’ll have a wide range of opportunities to develop professionally.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Finance and accounting knowledge
Excellent time management skills and interpersonal skills
Good analytical skills and willingness to follow through on issues.
Good knowledge of Excel with excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of oracle financial is desirable but not essential.

Starting salary between 30.000 and 35.000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
