£50,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience)
I’m currently recruiting for an experienced General Manager to join a family run leading UK wide coach company.
They are seeking a General Manager to be involved with the growth of the business by providing leadership, vision and direction to the company by assisting the Managing Director with the development of long term and annual business plans.
Key Benefits;
- £50,000 – £60,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
- Death is service x 3 of salary

The Candidate;
- CPC – Transport Management (National & International) Qualification
- PCV License (desirable)
- Proven experience as a General Manager within the coach transport industry
- Previous of experience of implementing commercial strategy and growing operations
- Strong leadership & communication skills
- Coach industry experience and understanding
- Strong information technology skills
- The ideal candidate would be an individual who has progressed through the ranks whilst advancing their career in a similar organisation who is now seeking development.
- Must have a ‘can do’ attitude
- Presentable, polite and demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Competent decision making
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Duties and Responsibilities;
- Research coach transport requirements, for major events, travel & tourism and high profile events, ensuring they understand the service we offer and securing business
- Taking a hands-on approach with the day to day operations it is expected that part of your duties is to build a competent management team structure.
- Oversee and monitor the workings of the business delegating where possible
- Quality of service provided by the Edinburgh branch.
- Mentoring and development of the Edinburgh team to motivate, promote job enrichment and employee engagement.
- Maintain compliance with legal and statutory guidelines.
- Build and establish strong relationships with current and prospective clients.
- Respond to tenders, draft proposals and work with clients to create customer specific solutions.
- Control of company budgets ensuring compliance.
- Market the business through networking, attending trade shows, with travel & tourism governing bodies.
