General Manager

Welcome to Tokyo Industries, operators of 48 of the UK’s coolest and vibrant licensed venues & 7 internationally.

Tokyo venues range from live music, bars, nightclubs, restaurants, gentleman’s clubs & hotels!

We are looking for a General Manager to take the reins at our vibrant event space Zumhof, with an immediate start available.

With 2 large indoor versatile spaces as well as a garden with it's own stage it is a place full of opportunity for a huge variety of live, club and private hire events.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast paced and diverse environment to oversee the team and take this venue to the next level.

As General Manager you will need to ensure that you and your team are loving the experience as much as your guests. Being a forefront leader and communicator is essential for success. It is the perfect opportunity for a candidate with creative intuition.

The successful candidate must have a diverse approach to management, the customer base is extremely varied. Previous experience working with touring shows in the live music sector and also within Artist led clubbing events will be looked on favourably.

You will have full autonomy over the business’s development, working very closely with the venues live and club booking teams as well as our head office team with the goal of creating the best party space in Birmingham.

Qualities we are looking for in an ideal candidate

• Management experience in high volume hospitality operations with emphasis on quality products and excellent service.
• A keen eye for detail to ensure delivery of the standards and the highest levels of guest satisfaction at all times.
• Good financial acumen with previous P&L responsibility.
• A structured approach to leadership and a track record of improving business performance.
• A good understanding of the live music sector
• A good understanding of the operations of club events and excellent local contacts
• A proven track record of recruiting, developing, motivating and retaining a high performing team.
• Ability to inspire a team and be able to demand high standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £32,000.00 per year
