Responsible for Premises Licencing strategy, ensuring the Premises Licence for each of the Theatres authorises the regulated and licensable activities carried out by the Company.
Maintain a working relationship with the Company's insurers in respect of the Theatres particularly in respect of employers and public liability, property inspections and the accurate implementation of policy wording and conditions.
In collaboration with the Property Director, scrutinise planning applications which may impact upon the operation or setting of the Theatres. The General Manager will be the primary point of contact for case officers and developers and will ensure the Theatres are well represented and appropriate arrangements/ agreements are entered into.
Represent the Theatres in respect of public realm improvements.
Lead a strategy which delivers the full and accurate application of the Company's Health and Safety Policy, Security Strategy, Fair Access Policy, Customer Charter and other applicable management arrangements, policies and procedures across the Theatres.
Working closely with the Property team and individual Theatre Managers develop a strategy which ensures each property is being effectively and efficiently managed. This will centre around delivering a venue that is always safe for public occupation and is presented to an exemplary standard.
In conjunction with the Property Director manage any tenant/ landlord relationship at the Theatres including rent reviews, lease renewals, negotiations etcetera.
Have full P&L accountability for the Theatres and be responsible for ensuring the Theatres collectively and individually exceed the commercial targets set by the Company.
Support the Programming team in the creation of Service Charge or Contra arrangements for each of the Theatres in respect of each new or potential new production.
