Our client, a removals company is looking for a Global Logistics Manager to join their office in Kingsbury.
The Role;
- To fully understand the business functionality and requirements of the role
- To develop existing accounts, expand market share, and upsell new services
- To maintain working relationships on all trade sales
- To manage all aspects of Freight capacity/ bookings
- To liaise with agents and subcontractors to ensure that goods are shipped in line with client expectations
- To develop and maintain an excess baggage / courier offering within Group
- To work with group marketing to increase the scope and awareness of our brand and offering globally.
- Effective internal communication of relevant business information to colleagues
- Ensure all administrative tasks are completed in a professional but timely manner
- When required, assist at networking and event opportunities
- To fully understand the business functionality and requirements of the role
- Work with colleagues to share knowledge, experience, and ideas to the benefit of team members and other staff
- Any other duties as may be required from time to time
Who are we looking for?
- Excellent organisational and data entry skills – able to multitask effectively
- Excellent administration and customer service skills - able to communicate clearly and effectively by listening and handling customer requirements to assist wherever possible
- Can work on own initiative but also within a team collaboration
- Excellent drive and determination to complete tasks set to a high standard
- Ability to handle large volumes of work which increases / decreases seasonally
- Computer literate and able to learn new systems efficiently
- Ability to overcome challenges - problem solve
- Previous business development experience (2-3 years minimum) – Essential
- Previous experience within a similar role (2 years minimum) – Essential
- Multilingual – Desirable however can speak and write English – Essential
- Previous account management experience – Desirable
- Previous accounting knowledge – Desirable
- Previous database system use – Desirable
