NHS Lothian are recruiting Health Care Support Workers and have opportunities available at Band 3 and Trainee Band 3 levels. We have an extensive range of specialties, covering a large geographical area.

Band 3 Trainee Healthcare Support worker
- You will be paid at a Band 2 level, while undertaking educational and clinical competencies to enable you to take on the full range of duties within the Band 3 Job descriptions. Following successful completion of the training program you will progress into the Band 3 pay scale, ideally within 9-12 months of starting.
Band 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker
- This role is suitable for someone with experience in Health care and or has attained SCQF level 6/7 in a health care related subject. This role encompasses the full duties within the Band 3 Job Description.
Spotlight on the Learning Disabilities Inpatient Team at the Royal Edinburgh HospitalExciting opportunities are available to join NHS Lothians Learning Disability Inpatient Team based within the Royal Edinburgh Hospital. We have multiple Band 3 positions available for Healthcare Support Workers and we are looking for passionate, caring, motivated people to join our highly skilled nursing teams.
Lothian Learning Disabilities Service provides a regional service, working across the four Lothian Heath and Social Care Partnerships, for adults who have learning disabilities in Lothian (population c800k).
The Learning Disability inpatient service is orientated around Assessment and Treatment areas on the Royal Edinburgh Campus and within a community-based ward in West Lothian, for individuals presenting with severe behaviour that challenges services, mental illness and/or forensic issues.
Additional intermediate services are provided centrally by NHS Lothian, and community services are delivered within the Health and Social Care Partnerships. The Learning Disability Service is also part of the Southeast of Scotland Learning Disability Managed Care Network.
