Introduction:
My client are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to join our team as a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, specializing in Dry Lining Projects. This role provides an excellent platform for a motivated individual to kick-start their career in quantity surveying within the construction industry. Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in managing the financial aspects of Dry Lining Projects, including cost estimation, budgeting, and cost control.
· Support senior Quantity Surveyors in preparing cost estimates for Dry Lining works, considering materials, labour, and overhead costs.
· Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for cost estimation.
· Assist in monitoring project costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying any deviations from the initial estimates and contributing to corrective actions as necessary.
· Review subcontractor and supplier quotations to support the procurement process.
· Learn to prepare and submit progress payment applications and final accounts.
· Provide support in preparing financial reports and analysis for senior management.
· Assist in managing variations and claims, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
Requirements:
· Recent graduate with a degree in quantity surveying.
· Strong analytical and numerical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
· Enthusiasm to learn and develop in the field of quantity surveying.
· Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
· Interest in Dry Lining Projects and the construction industry.
