Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Konnect Recruit are working on behalf of a well-established and respected Main Contractor in the construction industry, dedicated to delivering excellence in every project. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a talented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team and contribute to the success of diverse construction projects.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of quantity surveying work, ensuring accurate cost estimation, budget control, and contract administration.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform detailed quantity surveying, cost estimation, and budgeting for construction projects.
2. Prepare and analyze tenders, ensuring they align with project requirements and cost-effectiveness.
3. Manage contract administration, including preparing and negotiating variations, claims, and final accounts.
4. Conduct regular cost reviews to ensure projects remain within budget, identifying and addressing potential issues.
5. Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Provide timely and accurate financial reports to senior management.
7. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to quantity surveying.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a main contracting construction environment.
3. Proficient in all aspects of quantity surveying, cost estimation, and contract administration.
4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
5. Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
6. Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
7. Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as CostX and Microsoft Excel.
