Graduate Registered Nurse - Adult

NHS Forth Valley is excited to announce that our Graduate Registered Nurse recruitment campaign is now live. We welcome applications from those due to qualify as a Registered Adult Nurse in 2024.

We are looking to recruit competent and compassionate graduate nurses to work in our inpatient services, community and prisons. We have a variety of full & part-time appointments available for Registered Adult Nursing Staff (Band 5).

If you are a highly motivated, enthusiastic, kind, caring and hard working we would love to hear from you. You should possess excellent communication and organisational skills and have the ability to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team and have the ability to promote high quality person centred care. You must have a willingness and appetite for life-long learning to develop and enhance your own personal and professional development and contribute to the professional development of others within your area.

In return we can provide opportunities for personal and professional development in a supportive progressive environment. You will be expected to work a flexible work pattern which includes days, night, weekend and public holiday rotation depending on the area of work.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.

Application

During the application process you will be asked to select your preferred area of work within NHS Forth Valley. There are five options to choose from and you are requested to select your top three preferences. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate your 1st choice, this is not guaranteed due to availability of posts and service requirement.

Shortlisting is anticipated to be completed by week commencing 22nd April

Interviews

Interviews will be face to face and are anticipated to be week commencing 27th May 2024 at Stirling University.

At interview you will discuss the specific department you would like to work in and how your skills and experience align to this. Every effort will be made to ensure that you are aligned to your preferred area of practice.

Conditional Offers of Employment

Applicants are expected to be notified with the outcome of their interview before Friday 7th June. This will allow pre-employment checks to commence. However applicants will be notified sooner, where possible.

Matching Process

The process is carried out taking into consideration your interview, skills, experience, learning and placement history throughout your time as a student. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred area of work, this is not guaranteed due to availability of posts and service requirement.
