Job Outline:
A leading manufacturer of scientific instrumentation is now looking for a Sales Engineer to join their fantastic new facility in Oxfordshire.
Applications are welcomed from Graduates of Physics/Chemistry/Engineering with a year or two experience in commercial business to business sales.
More experienced Sales Engineers / Managers are also welcome to apply.
Your main responsibilities will include key account management including calls, emails and face to face meetings at customer sites worldwide with sales, purchasing and service leaders.
After the successful introductory period you will become the “go-to” person for any sales issues or support/service problems that are escalated.
In addition to Account Management, you will be responsible for direct sales including dealing with end users via email, phone or in person, proposing and discussing product offerings with a view to establishing a sale.
You will be responsible for the preparation of quotes, responses to tenders, proposals, and knowledge of when to work via agent.
Working closely and proactively with key customers you will identify future application requirements or potential new product ideas to bring to the business for discussion and specification.
Whilst this is a predominantly office-based role, you will be required to travel occasionally to visit customers, or to represent the company at conferences and exhibitions worldwide.
Qualifications:
As the successful candidate you should be qualified to a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a Science, Engineering, or relevant discipline, and have a proven track record in Technical B2B Sales.
Experience:
Ideally you should have hands on experience working with lab based X-Ray Crystallography, Diffraction or similar, in a synchrotron, academic research lab or similar environment.
Coupled with your technical knowledge, we are ideally seeking experience in business to business sales / account management gained within a scientific instrumentation or technical sector.
Additional Information:
Candidates must be resident in the UK and be eligible to live and work in UK. Copies of Passports and Visas will be requested for verification.
Candidates must hold a full, clean current driving license.
