Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant
We are recruiting on behalf of a fantastic Primary School, located in Islington, London. The Executive Headteacher of this Primary School is looking for an ambitious individual for their Primary School, for the position of a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant. The ideal candidate should possess a degree (Psychology, Education Studies etc.) and would be an aspiring Teacher as this school provides Teacher Training (QTS). The role allows the successful candidates to work with students within KS1 & KS2 with various needs, as well as those with SEN (Autism, ADHD) in intervention groups & 1:1.
*Teacher Training (QTS) is similar to a PGCE, where you are trained for 1 year and given all the necessary training. You are guaranteed a job as a Primary Teacher at the school with the relevant qualifications, starting on a base of around £32,000 - £34,000. This is an alternative that is being shifted into the Education Sector and many of our TAs go on to do, it due to its suitability*
What We're Looking For - Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant:
- A dedicated individual ready to embark on a rewarding journey in education.
- Experience in formal child-oriented settings or schools, providing you with a solid foundation.
- Passion for working with children and the aspiration to make a real difference in their learning journey.
- Desire to work from 08:20 am to 3:45 pm
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to adapt to diverse learning needs.

Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience supporting children in formal school settings or similar child-centred environments.
- Degree level qualifications (Drama, Music, English, History, Maths, Psychology, Education Studies etc.)

- A commitment to contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Starting £425/week - £500/week based on qualification, experience & interview performance.
