About the Role Queen Mary Students’ Union is looking to recruit a Graphic Design & Marketing Coordinator to become part of the Communications and Marketing team. Your time will be spent supporting the development of effective creative marketing and communications campaigns for the Students’ Union’s charitable and commercial teams across offline, online and digital channels. Your artwork will need to excite and engage our diverse Generation Z audience and you’ll be working as a team to ensure all students know about the Students’ Union and what's on offer. The Students’ Union is a representative and campaigning organisation providing high-quality activities and opportunities for QM students. The SU mission is “To listen, To Act and To Improve Students’ Lives” and it works towards objectives such as building an authentic student voice, supporting meaningful connections and prioritising students’ mental health and wellbeing. As part of the Communications and Marketing team you will support the delivery of a vibrant and varied range of design and marketing projects to ensure all of our charitable and commercial services are communicating effectively with students – you will have a crucial role in using your creativity to bring their vibrant ideas and projects to life. With such a wide range of services and student-led campaigns. We’ve also currently refreshing our brand and brand guidelines. You’ll support this exciting project and also act as a brand champion, ensuring your work embraces our brand, whilst supporting our staff team to ensure their work also supports a strong visual identity and tone for the Students’ Union. About You To join us you’ll need to have an understanding of core design principles, brand identity and experience using the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. You’ll also need excellent organisational skills, a positive attitude, ability to work as part of a team and be able to work flexibly to deliver to project briefs and deadlines. This role is predominately based at our Mile End campus in East London, with occasional work days in Whitechapel. It is a fixed-term Maternity Cover contract.
