Description
- Create & implement account, promotional & investment plans which deliver increased sales & profit growth in line with business targets.
- Manage cost price increases to protect and enhance the profitability of the business.
- Deliver incremental new listings and grow distribution of existing product ranges.
- Strong commercial capability, excellent attention to detail, good analytical skills and the ability to manage complexity are all critical, as are high levels of personal ownership and accountability.
- Understand customer strategies and devise plans which unlock support the portfolio.
- Have a strong awareness of our competition and what's happening in store which could present opportunities or risks to our brands performance.
- Utilisation of all systems relating to the account to ensure they are managed to maximum effect including EPOS, UROS and distribution tracking ie selling vs scanned stores.
Profile
The ability to deliver sales, distribution and profit growth and get more products across the branded portfolio is the "number 1 purpose of the role" and you'll need to show demonstrable evidence of your abilities in making this happen. Strong selling skills, the ability to overcome objections and negotiate well are essential.
You'll have experience and a proven track record of delivering profitable sales growth in Tesco, as well as strong commercial acumen, analytical skills & experience of managing investment plans and developing strong buying/trading relationships. A network of relevant contacts within the 3 Grocery accounts would also be desirable. Previous experience of developing the business in Asda and Morrisons would also be preferable.
The ability to create compelling sell proposals, negotiate price and manage all spend in order to maximise ROI is a fundamental requirement. You will be fully accountable for the full P&L of this customer base, over £9m+ of business and the performance reporting, tracking and management of all aspects of these accounts.
