/ Working Hours: 6on-3off Shift Pattern – working a mixture of earlies (5:30am-1pm) and lates (1pm-9pm)
Further to the award of a fixed minimum 5+ years offshore contract for multiple aircraft with a major energy company, Bond Helicopters is recruiting Ground Operations Officers for our Norwich operation. The Ground Operations role is an integral part of our operation at Norwich, ensuring effective and efficient day-to-day operations of the company’s business activities. The role is responsible on a shift basis for the safe ground handling operation of aircraft, as well as the completion of some Health & Safety checks.

/ Responsibilities:

• Comply with the processes, policies and procedures incorporated in the Ground Operations Manual to handle aircraft
• Coordination of passenger Check-in and manifests
• Loading and unloading of passengers onto the aircraft
• Baggage and freight manifesting
• Loading and unloading of passenger baggage and freight
• General labouring duties
• Complete aircraft towing operations
• Complete aircraft refuelling operations including fuel quality checks
• Booking of flight movements
• External and internal cleaning of aircraft in line with company procedures
• Maintain required records in relation to ground handling operations.
• Facilitate security escorting of contractors as required
• Act as duty First Aider and Fire Marshall
• Completion of daily Flight report and sending to Airport Accounts
• Apron FOD checks
• Monitoring, responding and actioning individual company email box

/ Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:
Essential

• Good IT skills and basic knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
• A passion for service delivery with knowledge of working in a highly regulated industry
• Excellent customer service skills and experience
• Excellent communication skills with a range of audiences, including management
• An efficient and organised personality
• Self-motivated and willing to learn and self-develop
• Ability to exercise time management to fulfil the role as directed

Advantageous

• Experience of working in an airport ramp environment is highly desirable, but not essential
• Experience of towing aircraft and driving HGV type vehicles is desirable
• Previous knowledge and understanding of what is required of Ground Operations in the Aviation industry is highly desirable
