Air Personnel are looking for three Ground Operations Officer's to join their client based at Norwich Airport
Working Hours: 6on-3off Shift Pattern – working a mixture of earlies (5:30am-1pm) and lates (1pm-9pm)
The Ground Operations role is an integral part of our operation at Norwich, ensuring effective and efficient day-to-day operations of the company’s business activities. The role is responsible on a shift basis for the safe ground handling operation of aircraft, as well as the completion of some Health & Safety checks.

Responsibilities of Ground Operations Officer:
- Comply with the processes, policies and procedures incorporated in the Ground Operations Manual to handle aircraft
- Coordination of passenger Check-in and manifests
- Loading and unloading of passengers onto the aircraft
- Baggage and freight manifesting
- Loading and unloading of passenger baggage and freight
- General labouring duties
- Complete aircraft towing operations
- Complete aircraft refuelling operations including fuel quality checks
- Booking of flight movements
- External and internal cleaning of aircraft in line with company procedures
- Maintain required records in relation to ground handling operations.
- Facilitate security escorting of contractors as required
- Act as duty First Aider and Fire Marshall
- Completion of daily Flight report and sending to Airport Accounts
- Apron FOD checks
- Monitoring, responding and actioning individual company email box
Skills, Qualifications and Experience required for Ground Operations Officer:
Essential
Good IT skills and basic knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
A passion for service delivery with knowledge of working in a highly regulated industry
Excellent customer service skills and experience
Excellent communication skills with a range of audiences, including management
An efficient and organised personality
Self-motivated and willing to learn and self-develop
Ability to exercise time management to fulfil the role as directed
Advantageous
Experience of working in an airport ramp environment is highly desirable, but not essential
Experience of towing aircraft and driving HGV type vehicles is desirable
Previous knowledge and understanding of what is required of Ground Operations in the Aviation industry is highly desirable
