SalaryWe have an opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our Grounds Maintenance team to maintain empty homes, play areas and block communal sites that Saffron manage to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain and prepare gardens and boundaries in empty properties using powered hand tools and ride-on mowers.
- Carry out play area inspections as per agreed schedule.
- Maintain communal spaces including removal of any fly-tipping.
- Maintain all open spaces to the recognised standard using powered hand tools, mowers, chippers and stump grinders.

Our ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant experience and knowledge in all types of Grounds Maintenance (green space) work.
- Relevant experience of working with powered hand tools (Brush cutters, hedge cutters, blowers) and ride-on mowers.
- Holds a Front Loader qualification and NPTC Units NPTC PA1 + PA6, would advantageous.
- Able to work as part of a team and also able to work independently without the need for close supervision.
- Excellent time management skills, including an ability to prioritise workload and meet agreed deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, possessing the ability to liaise with various audiences.
- Ability to use a mobile device (mobile phone/tablet) to manage workload, send and receive emails, access apps and MS Teams for meetings / training.
- Full, current, valid driving licence with B + E Trailer entitlement or equivalent.
