In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of the cyclical timetable, collaborating with key stakeholders to produce insightful reporting that drives our business forward. Your expertise will establish you as the company's "Cost Accounting Specialist," the definitive "Go To" for all matters concerning our Management Accounts Actuals.
Key responsibilities include:
- To be seen as the company Cost Specialist & gatekeeper delivering overall company P&L
- Responsibility for the delivery of accurate & timely Management Accounts (Group P&L).
- Develop efficiencies within processes & lead continuous improvement of Group accounting delivery.
- Producing Group P&L consolidations for Board packs (& other related) providing value-add insight to the Main Board to support decision making.
- Being responsible for the overall governance & compliance in relation to process & procedure across Group P&L
- Supporting Head of SSC in matters related to company strategic outputs (E.g. Bonus / Exceptionals)
- Understanding & translating any issues to explain accounting treatment to the Senior Finance team & Ops Board. Key support in Audit matters & driving initiative of being Audit ready.
- Being responsible for managing & collaborating on any company finance risks & or opportunities with the Group Finance Balance Sheet manager (to be clearly articulated & actioned).
- Responsibility for managing relationship with Internal Business Performance team to understand details captured for forecast/budget which will enable a more proactive approach when delivering company actuals & conducting value add analysis as consequence.
- Collaborating between Finance & Data team to ensure consistency & efficiency in reporting.

- Accounting qualification; ACA, CIMA, ACCA & significant experience in similar Senior Finance role.
- Proven track record of senior stakeholder management & ability to build & develop relationships.
- Proven track record managing company P&L cost base essential & providing insightful feedback to demonstrate thorough understanding of reported company P&L.
- Experience working in a team & delivering to tight deadlines.
- Ability to deal with large data volumes. Organize, Analyse & present information from various sources in a clear & concise manner.
- Good knowledge of Business strategy, systems, process, people & how they connect.
- Managed Treasury related activities at Group Level.
- Strong knowledge of controls & compliance work and ability to document and challenge compliance.
- System savvy with good working understanding of SAP (other ERP exposure would be a plus)
