Our client is seeking a Group Finance Reporting Manager to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities of the Interim Group Finance Reporting Manager
As a Group Finance Reporting Manager, you will play an integral role in shaping the future of our client's finance function. You will supervise and own the process of full Group consolidation, ensuring proper accounting is performed while building an efficient control environment. Your role will involve working closely with external auditors, managing tax workings and submissions, and ensuring compliance with all statutory responsibilities. You will also have the opportunity to identify and implement new systems and processes, challenging the status quo through your initiative, creativity, and innovative thinking.
- Supervise and own the process of full Group consolidation in conjunction with the Group Finance Manager
- Responsible for the production of multiple sets of financial statements subject to external audit
- Work collaboratively with external auditors and other Finance leaders to ensure a smooth audit cycle
- Carry out Corporation tax workings and submissions to facilitate correct reporting
- Compile and submit monthly VAT returns ensuring accurate reporting to HMRC
- Ensure compliance with all statutory responsibilities alongside the Head of Financial Control
- Support the design and implementation of a robust control environment focused on risk management
- Identify and assist with the implementation of systems and processes to automate and develop the finance controls team strategy
What the successful candidate will bring
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified with at least 5 years post-qualification experience
- Previous experience managing a team within a finance function
- Strong understanding of IFRS/FRS/UK GAAP
- Experience working with group consolidations within complex group structures
- Proven ability in dealing with both Corporation Tax and VAT
- Experience in preparing multiple sets of financial statements within a Group
- External audit experience is essential
- Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, collaboration, relationship building
